1. General

By booking an appointment or accepting a quote from JW Heat Tech, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms supersede any previous agreements.

2. Quotes & Estimates

Validity: Written quotes are valid for 30 days.
Estimates: Oral estimates are for guidance only. If unforeseen work is required once a job has commenced, we will notify the customer of any additional costs immediately.

3. Payments

Due Date: All invoices are due for payment immediately upon completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Deposits: A deposit (typically 50% of materials) may be required for large installations or specialized parts.
Late Payments: We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

4. Access & Cancellations

Access: The customer must ensure the engineer has clear access to the boiler, cylinders, and relevant pipework.
Cancellations: We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Failure to provide access at the agreed time may result in a minimum 1-hour call-out charge.

5. Liability & “Making Good”

Existing Faults: We cannot be held liable for the failure of existing system components that occur during or after a repair or power flush (e.g., old radiators leaking due to the removal of sludge).
Making Good: Our quotes cover plumbing and heating works only. Unless specified, we are not responsible for “making good” (plastering, painting, or tiling) disturbed during the work.
